A couple of news and notes to pass along:
-Jeff Frazee returned to practice today after sitting out the weekend with a broken nose he suffered in Wednesday’s win over Rochester. Timo Pielmeier was returned to Elmira, where the Jackals are the ECHL Eastern Conference’s #1 seed in the Kelly Cup playoffs. They start their first round tomorrow in Reading.
-Another roster move saw a presumably healthy Harry Young return to Kalamazoo. The K-Wings are the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference, and they start their first round tomorrow in Wheeling.
-Finally, congratulations go out to Brad Mills, who for the second season in a row was named the Devils’ IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year winner. The award honors one member of each AHL team for their community involvement and charity work during the course of the season. The overall league award, the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award, will be announced in the coming weeks. Full list of team winners can be found here.
