A couple of notes before this evening’s make up game in western Massachusetts:
-After the recap went out on Sunday, New Jersey announced that Tim Sestito was returned to Albany to make room for Dainius Zubrus’s return to the lineup Monday night. He had been recalled on March 19th and appeared in 5 games during the parent Devils recent road trip.
-Just announced within the hour, goaltender Scott Wedgewood was recalled from Trenton. While a few on my Twitter feed were questioning this move, I actually jokingly predicted this during Saturday’s game. Sure, Trenton’s season is over as of the weekend, so the Devils brass may want to see him get in one of the last 10 games here. But now I wonder whether something is up with Jeff Frazee, since he did appear to be hurting late in Saturday’s game. He did finish the game, but one has to wonder.
