January 16th @ Utica: Comets 1, Devils 0 (OT): In a rare off night for the Devil offense, they could only manage 14 shots on goal against Comets goaltender Richard Bachman. Scott Wedgewood stopped 43 of 44 shots, but the 44th shot off Carter Bancks 3:05 into overtime proved to be the game winner. It was the first Utica win in the all time series, dating back to 2013.
January 29th @ Albany: Comets 4, Devils 3 (OT): Despite 2 goals from Reid Boucher, Mike Zalewski would pick up the game winner just 46 seconds into overtime. Yann Danis stopped 25 of 29.
February 20th @ Utica: Devils 3, Comets 2 (OT): In the third straight overtime matchup, the Devils would finally come out on top, as Matt Lorito scored the overtime winner with 1:54 to go in the extra frame. Yann Danis stopped 21 of 23 shots.
March 12th @ Albany: Devils 4, Comets 3: Trailing 2-1 entering the third period, Albany exploded for three unanswered goals, including Nick Lappin’s first as a pro. Scott Wedgewood stopped 16 of 19 shots.
