This is the first matchup between the two teams since Toronto eliminated the Devils in the second round of last season’s Calder Cup playoffs in seven games; the Marlies boast the league’s top two scorers in Brendan Leipsic and Kasperi Kapanen; this is the beginning of a six game road trip for Toronto, who will travel to St. John’s for a pair, then to Wilkes-Barre and Lehigh Valley before returning home on November 19th; Carter Camper and Ryan Kujawinski remain out due to injuries, but Kujawinski is a maybe for the weekend; Steve Santini will remain with Albany for the time being; and finally…congrats to Nick Lappin, who was recalled by New Jersey this morning and will make his NHL debut tonight at The Rock against Chicago.
